ULTIMATE CHICAGO LAKE SHORE DANCE CAMP
Come to Lake County in Illinois for American Dance Training Camps' ULTIMATE Great Lakes dance camp at Lake Forest Academy, a beautiful boarding academy conveniently located 30 miles from Chicago! LFA is accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS).
At LFA, ADTC campers and staff live together in a traditional residence hall. Campers are assigned to double-occupancy dorm rooms by age (roommate requests are honored), sharing a community bathroom on the hall. ADTC staff are mixed in right along the hallway on each floor. Our staff provides campers with 24-hour supervision and support.
Building amenities include air-conditioned community lounges (for all-camp meetings, watching TV, doing arts & crafts and just hanging out), laundry facilities, and a Dance Canteen for basic supplies, snacks, dance accessories, and ADTC apparel and souvenirs.
In addition to core dance classes in contemporary, hip hop & jazz (styles of jazz vary and may include lyrical, modern or Broadway), dancers at our ULTIMATE Chicago Lake Shore dance camp will choose between ballet, tap or world dance for their core elective dance discipline. Campers take four dance classes per day, and at week's end, they get to show off their new moves in a big Friday night performance for family, friends and fellow campers. Day camp option is available at all overnight dance camp locations.
And at ADTC ULTIMATE Chicago Lake Shore you can enjoy AWESOME ACTIVITIES & EXTRAS like horseback riding, kayaking, peddle boats, swimming, ice skating right on campus, tennis, bike riding, a trip to Six Flags Great America, and more! Additional fees & waivers will be detailed in the Registered Camper's Handbook sent to confirmed campers in March. Fees will include any necessary transportation, professional guides (where applicable) & supervision by ADTC staff certified in First Aid & CPR. Optional field trips generally take place during afternoon free time with the exception of a few evening offerings. Note that there always are included (fee-free) activity option available to campers who do not participate in the optional field trips & additional fee activities. Campers planning to participate in most of our field trips & additional fee activities can save money by purchasing our "Unlimited Activities Pass".
